Rule: never bait,
never disturb

Field Notes · Entry 041

“The best photograph is usually the one you almost walked away from.”

Ossian Reyes trained as a conservation biologist before he ever sold a frame. Fifteen years later the method hasn’t changed: pick a territory, learn it until the animals stop performing, and wait — sometimes 400 hours in a hide — for behaviour that is true.

His work has appeared in BBC Wildlife, National Geographic Traveller, Audubon and Smithsonian, and hangs in private collections across eleven countries.

Every expedition runs on his ethical-fieldcraft pledge: never bait, never disturb, never trade an animal’s calm for a frame.
